Launched in 2025, PediHelp began as a response to a reality witnessed on the clinical wards: a child’s treatment can be out of reach when a family cannot afford it.
A vision born in the clinical wards
PediHelp’s story began at the University College Hospital in Ibadan. While learning the science of medicine, our founders also saw a difficult truth: children who urgently needed surgery could wait because their families could not raise the funds. For many, definitive treatment was financially out of reach.
From empathy to action
PediHelp was launched in 2025 to build a practical bridge between clinical need and the resources families lack. By working with attending physicians and hospitals, the foundation helps direct support to the people and care that need it.
Building for lasting impact
PediHelp is a registered foundation guided by a vision to facilitate life-saving medical interventions for 1,000 families by 2030. The work is rooted in partnerships, dignity and the belief that a child’s recovery should not be held back by financial barriers.
“A patient’s recovery is not only determined by the quality of care delivered, but by whether they can afford to access that care in the first place.”
